- Our Price Comparison / Switching Service
Winpower Direct Ltd provides a business energy price comparison and switching service to UK-based businesses. To be eligible to use this service, you must:
- Be a business resident in the UK.
- Be at least 18 years old (if acting as a sole trader).
- Meet any credit scoring requirements set by the suppliers.
We reserve the right to refuse to provide services at our sole discretion.
- Customer Responsibilities and Accuracy of Information
- Customers agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information (including estimated or actual energy usage, contract end dates, and other relevant details).
- Quotations provided are based on the information received. If incorrect, this may affect the accuracy of the quotations.
- A quotation does not constitute an offer. Final offers are subject to each supplier’s own terms and conditions.
- Once a contract is agreed between the customer and the supplier, it is binding, and customers may not revoke their acceptance unless permitted under the supplier’s terms.
- Scope of Our Role
- Winpower Direct Ltd acts as an independent broker.
- We are not the supplier of energy. Any contract is directly between the customer and the chosen supplier.
- We are not liable for any dealings, disputes, or payment obligations between the customer and the supplier.
- Our role is limited to identifying, negotiating, and securing energy quotations based on the details you provide.
- We do not guarantee that the quotation provided is the cheapest on the market. Energy prices can fluctuate daily.
- Advice Disclaimer
- While we may provide advice or insights based on market data and supplier information, it is ultimately the customer’s responsibility to validate any quotations and contract terms before making a decision.
- We make no guarantees regarding future price movements, supplier performance, or suitability of contracts.
- The customer agrees not to hold Winpower Direct Ltd liable for changes in market conditions, advice given, or decisions made.
- Delays and Limitations
- We are not responsible for any delays or failures caused by the customer, the supplier, or any third parties in relation to switching or contract renewal.
- Energy prices fluctuate, and availability of deals may change at short notice.
7. How We Get Paid
We are proud of the value our service provides to customers, and we believe we charge a fair and transparent fee for the services we offer. The fee we earn allows us to maintain the high standards of service we provide and continue offering competitive deals to our customers for their business utilities.
Importantly, customers are not required to make any direct payment to Winpower Direct Ltd for using our services. By choosing to use our service, customers agree to us receiving remuneration from the suppliers as set out below.
If you would like to know the specific fee we expect to receive from your contract, please contact us
Supplier Remuneration and Impartiality
- We receive our fee directly from the suppliers when a contract we helped secure goes live.
- Some suppliers may also make additional payments to us, such as a nominal amount per meter or per customer. The amount and nature of these payments may vary depending on the product, supplier, and market conditions.
- These payments do not impact the impartiality of our service. We aim to provide fair and competitive options based on your needs from the suppliers on our panel.
Energy Contracts
- Our fee for energy contracts is included within your unit cost of energy usage, via a small uplift on your unit rate (pence per kWh).
- The fee is calculated as:
Uplift (pence per kWh) x Estimated Annual Energy Consumption x Contract Term Length.
- This fee is an estimate at the point of contract agreement because it is based on projected energy consumption over the term.
- As we are remunerated this way, we only offer prices from suppliers who are live on our panel and not the entire market. However, our panel includes a significant portion of UK business energy suppliers.
Water Contracts
- For water services, we receive a fee from our water partner(s) for introducing customers to their service.
- This fee is included within the cost of your water retail service by way of a small uplift on usage, spread over the life of the contract.
Telecom Contracts
- For telecom services, we receive a retail introduction fee directly from our telecom partners when a customer signs up for their services through us.
- The amount of this fee may vary depending on the supplier and the specific telecom package chosen.
